May 12,2008.That was a day that few people in China will ever forget.An 8-magnitude earthquake hit South China’s Sichuan Province at 2:28 pm,and Wenchuan County (146 kilometers northwest of Chengdu,the provincial capital)was the epicenter.The quake caused widespread devastation and claimed tens of thousands of lives. In this edition,Women of China recalls the devastation,the relief efforts,the mourning and the touching moments as people continue working,side by side,to assist survivors.
