摘要
During the evening of September 6,2008,the opening ceremony of the 13th Paralympic Games was held in the"Bird’s Nest."The Lucky Clouds torch,which symbolized peace and life, was lighted again. Throughout the 11 days of competition,not only were 472 gold medals awarded,but the Paralympic spirit abounded.The athletes,who were physically and/or mentally challenged, remained firm in their spirit of overcoming.Through their performances,they proclaimed to the world,regardless of disabilities,that it is possible to grow,flourish and be happy.
2008年9月6日晚,第十三届残疾人奥林匹克运动会在"鸟巢"正式开幕了。具有生命意义的祥云火炬再次熊熊燃起,并且鲜艳夺目!持续11天的比赛,不仅为了472枚金牌,更为了一种顽强的残奥精神,身残志坚的健儿们用自己的身体和汗水宣告世界:世界依然多彩,快乐与是否残疾无关。
