摘要
利用UMRAO数据库中的观测数据,给出了BL Lac天体S5 0716+714在射电4.8GHz、8GHz和14.5GHz的历史光变曲线,并应用离散相关函数法对其进行周期性分析.分析结果显示:S5 0716+714在射电波段存在一个大约2 075天的长时标周期性光变,该周期很可能是由喷流的螺旋进动引起的.
The historical light curves of S5 0716+714 at the frequency of 4.8 GHz,8 GHz and 14.5 GHz have been obtained by using the database of University of Michigan Radio Astronomy Observatory.The analysis of their periodicity through the discrete correlation function(DCF) indicates the existence of a periodic variation in brightness of the light curve of S5 0716+ 714 at the radio wave band with a long time scale period of about 2075 days,which is most likely caused by the helical motion of the jet.
