This thesis is trying to approach The Good Earth from a new perspective based on the theory of double-voicedness,focusing the analysis upon the problematic marriage between the protagonists Wang Lung and O-lan,and how Pearl S.Buck as the author conceals her authorial concern for marriage throughout in this work.
