With the development of higher education,the quality of education is increasingly causing concerns of the community,this leads to the quality assurance system of education,educational assessment is a mean of ensuring the quality of education,this paper focuses on describing the principles and methods of educational assessment and the main problems exist in the ranking of universities at this stage.
