隐喻是一种普遍存在的语言和思维现象,人们赖以生存的概念系统本质上也是隐喻性的。爱情这一抽象概念常常是由隐喻来表达的,英汉歌词语言中有着大量表达情感的隐喻,它们存在着一定的共性,这源于人们共同的生理特征和情感体验。

Metaphor is a common phenomenon in language and thought,and human conceptual system is metaphorical in nature.More often than not,people express their love with metaphors,especially in song lyrics.There exist a lot of similarities between English love metaphors and the Chinese ones which may arise from the same psychological effects and the same physical reactions of different people with different languages
