小议翻译技巧中英汉主语省略的策略

Strategy of subjects omitted in English and Chinese in translation skills

本文章着眼于英汉翻译主语省略的不同点,即:汉语的主语省略大大多于英语的主语省略。进而分析造成这差异的具体原因,即:英汉民族的思维差异。文章将结合张培基先生所著的"英译中国现代散文选"中的具体文章来提出相应的汉英翻译策略。

The focus of this paper will be set on the differences in subject ellipsis in English and Chinese translation---the subject ellipsis in Chinese is much more frequent than in English.Generally speaking,the different modes of thinking in the two languages have given birth to the profound diversities in the ways of expressions.The skill of subject ellipsis will be further illustrated by the sentences in the book written by the famous translator——Zhang Pei-ji.
