人际功能是韩礼德提出的语言元功能的一种,依靠语气、情态和语调来实现。从这三个方面分析《红楼梦》第四回,可观察语言人际功能实现的过程,并推断当时语境、人物性格及心理活动,以加深读者对《红楼梦》更深层次的了解。

Interpersonal function,one of metafunctions and six core thoughts in systematic functional grammar,is put forward by Halliday and realized by mood,modality and intonation.Chapter 4 of A Dream of Red Mansions is analyzed here,in order to have a thick understanding on the famous novel by observing the actualization of interpersonal function and deducing the context,protagonists’ character and their psychological activities.
