语言反应人类社会生活的方方面面,随着生活的发展和变迁,新事物不断涌现,原有词汇已不能满足人类表达的需要,新词汇也就应运而生了。英语作为全世界应用范围最广泛的语言,在其发展过程中也不断扩大,已经从莎士比亚时代的十四万发展到现在的百万量。本文将讨论英语新词汇的发展原因及其构成特点。
