《献给艾米丽的玫瑰》是20世纪美国作家福克纳优秀的短篇小说,故事发生在福克纳虚构的小镇杰弗生。小说讲述了美国南方小镇上家道中落的贵族后裔艾米丽为了追求美好爱情而谋杀情人的悲惨人生。本文从女性主义的角度分析了艾米丽的悲剧人生和心理扭曲的必然性,从而揭示出女性悲剧命运的不可避免性。
'A Rose for Emily' is an excellent short story by American author William Faulkner in the 20th century,it takes place in Faulkner's fictional city,Jefferson.The story is about the miserable life of the aristocratic descendant in decline,Emily,who murdered her lover in pursuit of good love.This paper analyses the Emily' tragedy and necessity of mental twist from the perspective of feminism,so it could be disclosed that the tragic fate of women is inevitable.
