在美国长大的华裔被称为ABC——即在美国出生的华人。而移民则被称为F.O.B.——新移民。我为自己是中国人感到骄傲,但我很讨厌F.O.B.这个词。每当人们提及它,我感到很不愉快。在美国时,我会想念中国;然而,当我回到中国度假时,却感到有点疏远了,仿佛我已经变了。五年过去了,我甚至快要忘记怎样用中文写作了!我已经在美国走过了五年的旅程。这段时间并不总是顺利的,我也有过艰辛的遭遇。但我已经在那段时期成长了,并为自己的成就而自豪。
The American Dream has enticed people from across the
world for over a century.The chance for a better job,
a better education,or simply a better life is enouhg to
make people give up their homes,friends and family.
Our teen essay this month is from a young Chinese girl who
did just this-with her family.She left her home in Guangzhou to
travel to America. Her story tells of the hardships she faced and
the difficulties she had to go through until she could reach the
American Dream.
