摘要
《庄子·天地》中"子贡南游于楚"一章被不少人认为是以庄子为代表的道家鄙薄技术、摒弃机械的证据。其实,以庄子为代表的道家不仅赞美机巧、重视机械的应用,而且反对守古,提倡与时俱化。对"子贡南游于楚"一章的重新评价,关系到道家对待科学技术态度的大是大非问题。庄子思想的现代意义及其贡献有待于进一步研究。
The narration of Zi Gong's journey in the chapter of 'South Chu' in The Heaven and the Earth of Zhuang Zi has been regarded by many scholars as evidence that Taoists, typically Zhuang Zi, despise technology and even deny mechanism. This paper makes a contrary argument based on a thorough study of the original text and new analysis of Taoist technological thoughts that the Taoists actually encourage the application of mechanism. The re-evaluation of Zhuang Zi's technological thoughts concerns the recognition of the significance and contributions of Zhuang Zi in modern times.
