从触摸传播谈王熙凤的性格塑造

Wang Xifeng's personality reflected by her way of non-verbal communication

一个人传递信息的方式受制于一个人的性格,反之,一个人的性格决定着一个人传递信息的方式。触摸信息在人际交流中具有不可忽视的作用。《红楼梦》在塑造人物形象时,恰切而又不动声色地运用了触摸传播来皴染人物性格。作者为王熙凤这个人物设计了两个直接体现其性格的体态语:一个是爱笑,一个是爱"动手"。前者是彰显的,后者是不动声色的,读者需要细细地把玩,方可领会其中之意。

The way a person communicates is confined to his personality. Conversely, a person's personality affects his style of communication. Non-verbal communication plays an important role in communicating information. In the novel DREAM OF THE RED CHAMBER, many non-verbal means of communication were employed, which were very helpful in presenting the characters' personality. Wang Xifeng was a typical example who used two body languages quite often, one is laughing, the other is touching. The former is obvious, and the later obscure. The use of these two non-verbal means of communication would present a very vivid picture of Wang Xifeng and leave a deep impression of her personality in readers' mind.
