Moral Factors in the Protection of World Cultural Heritage

世界文化遗产保护的质量,取决于遗产地政府、当地群众和游客的道德素养。政府不能满足于现状的维护,而是要在积极探索先进的保护手段、合理的保护制度的同时,信守承诺,坚持诚信原则。公众要增强对保护遗产意义的认识,形成良好的遗产保护习惯。遗产地居民和游客个体则应内化和再现文化遗产保护相关规定,使遗产保护成为其自觉的道德行为。

The quality of preservation of the world cultural heritage relies on the efforts of the local government and the morality of local people and tourists.Local government should not stop at the protection of present situation but endeavor to explore advanced methods and system of protection,keep their promises and adhere to the principle of good faith.The general public should further their understanding and develop good habits conducive to heritage protection.Citizens at and tourists to the site should internalize protective regulations so that protection become part of their morality.
