摘要
森槐南是在日本的中国戏曲研究的开创者,也是第一个在帝国大学讲堂上系统讲授中国戏曲史的学者。他写过关于《西厢记》、《琵琶记》、《牡丹亭》、《四弦秋》等剧作的专题论文,并系统介绍过《元曲选》。他在东京帝国大学讲课时所撰的讲议《词曲概论》,堪称是第一部"中国词曲史"。其后半部分即是"戏曲概论",其撰写时间要早于王国维《宋元戏曲史》,而所论中国戏曲的源起、发展,可与王氏著作前后呼应。遗憾的是,他的工作在当今日本学术界也已经不为人知。兹作译介,亦以彰示这位先行者的功绩。
Mori Kainan is the pioneer of Chinese opera study in Japan,and also the first scholar who taught Chinese Opera History at National Seven Universities.He wrote papers respectively about plays The West Chamber,The Story of the Pipa Player,The Peony Pavilion,Si Xian Qiu(《四弦秋》),and gave introduction to Yuan Opera Selection.The teaching material he used to give lectures 'Introduction to Libretto and Melody' can be called the first 'Chinese Libretto and Melody History'.The second half of it is 'Introduction to Opera' which was written earlier than Opera History of Song and Yuan Dynasties written by Wang Guowei,who was the renowned scholar of Chinese opera study.Mori Kainan's demonstration of the origin and development of Chinese Opera and Wang Guowei's work can echo each other.Unfortunately,his contributions have not been known by people even in Japan.I hereby translate and introduce it to readers to present this pioneer's achievements.
