天津传世流散文物资源丰厚,集藏文物有着得天独厚的条件,造就了众多的文物收藏、鉴赏大家。建国后,不少收藏家出于对新中国的热爱和对人民政府的信赖,纷纷化私为公,慷慨捐献家藏文物和古籍善本图书。

Tianjin is the door to the capital and due to its favorable geographical and regional advantages as well as human factor, many treasures that used to belong to the imperial family in Qing Dynasty came to the city adjacent to Beijing. After the People's Republic of China was founded in 1949, out of the love for the country and the trust of the government, many collectors donated their personal collections of cultural relics and rare editions of ancient books. There have been three main donation waves since 1949.
