Content-based information retrieval technology as a hotspot in the field of multimedia has been widely used in many other fields.This paper shows a detailed exposition from concepts and features of content-based multimedia information retrieval,content-based image retrieval to content-based video and audio retrievals and finally suggests further research on content-based multimedia information.
