当前治安管理工作存在一些薄弱环节和亟待解决的问题:治安部门陈旧的思想观念、治安管理模式、治安管理运行机制、治安部门队伍现状与改革发展和日趋变化的治安形势不相适应;日常治安管理工作、打击违法犯罪活动、阵地防范控制等工作不到位。因此,当前必须夯实治安基础工作,狠抓治安管理工作规范化,坚持严管严打从严执法,大力加强治安队伍建设,从而全面开创治安管理工作新局面。
