This paper discusses the current situation of college foreign language teachers' professional development importance,from the teacher occupation self-concept related theory,analysis of self concept plays an important role in foreign language teachers' professional development,and on this basis,put forward the self concept theory under the guidance of effective ways to promote the professional development.
