1960s saw large scale movement in America,which had a great impact on the American society.Fortunately it didn't lead to total disorder.By law,a series of social reforms and the development of civil society,the American society underwent a change from tumult to stability.The case of this shows that effective social institutional arrangements,social reforms which comply with the requirements of the times and the public opinion,and the promotion of social participatory democracy play an active role in resolving the social crisis and maintaining social stability.
