For most American people, baseball is much more than a game.Baseball is always branded as American, not only because it is a game that is loved by all Americans regardless of ethnic, religious and political affiliation, but also because it symbolizes the true character of American. However, there are few people who really know about the story behind the construction of baseball′s creation myth.By uncovering the driving force of American exceptionalism behind the construction of baseball′s creation myth, this article will show how Doubleday/Cooperstown myth influenced the way Americans look at this ball game.
