Looking for the Lost Eden——An Analysis of Toni Morrison's Works from Ecocritical Perspective

从生态批评角度重读莫瑞森作品,对于重新认识和解读莫瑞森有着积极的拓展意义。从自然生态、社会生态和精神生态三方面全方位考察莫瑞森的作品,可以感知到人与自然、文明与自然,以及人的物质和精神生活是如何相互作用而最终导致生态恶化的。文明固然是一种进步,但是在以远离自然和破坏自然为代价的文明发展制度下,人类终将遭受肉体和心灵的惩罚,只有回归自然返璞归真才是人类最终的出路。

A reanalysis of Morrison's works from the ecocritical perspective is helpful for us to better understand Morrison.This paper tries to explore the relationship between humans and nature,culture and nature,and the material and spiritual life of human beings from three aspects,namely natural ecology,social ecology and spiritual ecology,so as to reveal Morrison's ecological view,i.e.though a kind of progress,the development of social technology and civilization should not achieve at the cost of keeping alienated from nature and doing harm to nature.Otherwise,human beings will suffer both bodily and spiritually in the end.And only through returning to the call of nature and keeping the natural essence of human hearts,can human beings avoid the disastrous results.
