Han Bangqing's short stories in classical Chinese named Tai Xian Man Gao were serialized in a magazine Hai Shang Qi Shu,which initiated a new receptional way of stories in China.The active and passive response of the then readers revealed Chinese receptional aesthetic in late Qing dynasty.Han's aesthetic pursuit of originality was manifested in his unique reconstruction of Chinese classical literature.His depiction of women broke through common rules.He integrated realistic novels and metaphorical fables.Han constructed his own fiction aesthetic in his writing practice.
