On the Transmission and Reception of Translated Chinese Literature

摘要 以"熊猫丛书"这一国家机构推出的对外译介项目为研究对象,描述了丛书在英美文化语境中传播与接受的过程,指出政治的审美视角是西方读者解读英译中国文学的基本视角。这一视角提醒发出方在主动对外译介的过程中考虑和权衡手段与目的之间的关系,更深入地思考怎样实现中国文学走出去的问题。 Based on the Panda Books Series,a state-promoted translation project,this paper aims to account for the series’ transmission and reception in the target culture,and shows how western readers interpret translated Chinese literature from a politically-aesthetic perspective,which reminds us of taking adequate measures to better boost Chinese literature globally.
