Further innovations at the fair prove that the strong competitive situation in spinning engineering is helping the sector to assert itself better in Asia. However, less visitors from Asia were noticed, and Asian exhibitors were also underrepresented. Despite extreme economic difficulties in the past, development efforts have not subsided. Reliable innovative machine concepts received distinct recognition through further suppliers. In 2007 it was still about building cost-efficient machines with a reduced range of functions. Now, recent developments have allowed the productivity of the machines to be increased considerably. The focus was also on energy consumption and use of resources.
