Ren Zhongmin and His Study of Qu

任半塘在曲学研究领域取得了许多引人瞩目的成就,除个人的努力外,他还受到恩师吴梅的指点及同门卢前等人的鼓励和帮助。他和卢前等人一起开创了散曲学,在理论建构和文献整理方面做出了开拓性的贡献。他对唐代戏曲的研究新人耳目,对王国维的观点进行重要修正,代表着戏曲研究的深入和突破。在戏曲文献的搜集整理方面,他同样做出了重要贡献。

Due to his individual efforts,the instruction of his teacher Wu Mei and the encouragement of Lu Qian,Ren Zhongmin(1897~1991) made many remarkable achievements in the study of Qu.He together with Lu Qian initiated the discipline of San Qu,making some pioneering contribution in theoretical construction and literature collation.His research in the dramas of Tang Dynasty brought fresh notions into the field by making important modification of Wang Guowei's ideas.
