摘要
在当今这一信息爆炸的时代,越来越多的企业、机构急需一种有效的方式存储和维护日益增长的海量数据。为了迎接信息时代带来的这一挑战,文中提出了一种新的存储技术—iSCSI。它是基于TCP/IP协议的并利用TCP/IP协议建立和管理基于IP的存储设备、服务器和客户端之间的连接。从而解决了传统的存储方式存在的不支持远距离备份或维护成本高等问题。从存储市场的现状来看,iSCSI是网络存储技术发展的方向。
The Internet and related activities continue to expand, increasing the amount of data that needs to be stored and other organizations require effective ways to store and maintain these data. In order to meet the challenge information era brings us, the paper come up with a new storage technology:iSCSI. iSCSI is a TCP/IP-based protocol for establishing and managing connections between IP-based storage devices, hosts and clients. The technologies avoid the drawbacks occurring in traditional technologies such as distance limitations and high TCO(Total Cost of Ownership). The status quo of storage market shows iSCSI is the development trend of network storage technology.
