汉学界在中国经典解读中的“见”与“未见”——以爱莲心的《庄子》研究为例

The Insight and Defect of Sinology in the Interpretations of Chinese Classics:Taking Allinson's Chuang-tzu Study as an Example

汉学界的中国经典解读值得关注,以爱莲心为例,他的《庄子》解读迥异于中国传统学者,而之所以存在这种巨大的差别,根本原因在于他"先在的"、独特的西方立场及其所回应的特殊的问题。爱莲心在《庄子》解读中所灵活运用的逻辑的、分析的以及神话学的、语言学的方法,对于在新的历史条件下推动中国经典的解读,使其走向世界具有重要的启示。但另一方面,爱莲心对《庄子》的研究也存在很多误读,西方方法论不加反省的应用,往往造成对中国经典意义的束缚和限定,因而免不了"方法论殖民"的质疑。因西方立场的限定而导致的隔阂,使中西方文化的切实交流和有效地互相借鉴还远未充分实现。

Attention should be paid to the interpretations of Chinese classics in sinology.The Chuang-tzu interpretation of Allinson is quite different from that of Chinese scholars because of his particular perspective.In the interpretation of Chuang-tzu,Allinson applies many interesting research methods technically,such as logic,analyses,mythology,linguistics,etc,which are of important insight into the development of Chinese classics interpretation in the new era.However,there are some misunderstandings in Allinson's interpretation of Chuang-tzu.For example,the meanings of Chinese classics are restricted in a narrow area because of the applying of western methodology without reflection,and the communication between western culture and Chinese culture is far from being truly realized.
