摘要
在综述了隐喻能力培养及其与英语各项分技能的相关性研究后,本研究测试了英语专业大三学习者隐喻能力与接受性英语水平(包括听力、词汇和阅读理解)之间的关系,量性分析显示二者呈显著正相关关系,但隐喻能力与听力不相关,与阅读理解、词汇显著相关。本文尝试分析了原因,并就隐喻能力培养及教学提出了相应的建议。
After a review of related research on metaphorical competence and its correlation with disparate learning skills,this paper tests the correlation between metaphoric competence and receptive competence(including listening,vocabulary and reading comprehension).Metaphoric competence is found to have a positive significant correlation with overall receptive competence,with particular regard to vocabulary learning and reading comprehension;nevertheless,no correlation has been observed to hold between metaphoric competence and listening comprehension.The paper then tries to analyze reasons for the findings and puts forward some suggestions for metaphoric competence training and as a whole,language teaching.
