Tang Dynasty is a stage where Chinese grotto statue art developed very fully and completely.This article aims to combine the history,culture,social economy,scientific technology and political system,penetrate into and thoroughly discuss the history,the causes of prosperity of the existing grotto statue,the subjects of statues,and the artistic characteristics,reveal the achievements that Tang Dynasty grotto sculpture art has achieved,and reflect the social folk customs and historical culture connotation,distinctive artistic features,and the unique contributions to national culture.
