英语情态动词在新闻语篇中的人际意义建构

On the Construction of Interpersonal Meaning of Modal Verbs in English News Texts

摘要 以功能语言学的情态观为理论框架,以新闻英语语篇为语料,运用语料库检索软件WordSmith和Word文档中的"查找、替换"等分析工具,对样本中的情态动词进行分类检索,进而分析对它们的分布情况和使用特点,可以窥见英语情态动词在新闻英语语篇中的情态配置及其人际意义建构。 This paper,with systemic-functional theory of modality as its theoretical basis,English political news texts as its data and WordSmith as its analytical tool,attempts to analyze the distribution and characteristics of English modal verbs in English news texts to demonstrate the important role they play in the construction of interpersonal meaning in English news texts.
