An Analysis of "the Other" in Snow Flower and the Secret Fan

从比较文学形象学的角度对美国华裔女性作家邝丽莎的作品《雪花和秘密的扇子》中的中国他者形象进行分析,可以看出,作者对于中国文化表现出既有排斥又有推崇的态度,同时还进行了对中国不同民族间史实的嫁接。这是由华裔作家的双重文化身份决定的。华裔女性作家从"我"这个独特而复杂的视角看中国这个他者,但中国他者的形象也传递了"我"这个观者的侧面形象。

In the perspective of imagologie,this paper examines the image of China as 'the other' in Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by the Chinese American woman writer Lisa See.This novel applies the image of 'the other' on both of the positive side and negative side,among which there are some contradictories.From the analysis of the Chinese American writer's bicultural identity,this paper draws a conclusion that the Chinese American women writer 'I',from a distinctive and complicated perspective,observes the image of China as 'the other',while the image of 'the other' passes a side image of I——myself at the same time.
