On Aristotle’s Thoughts of Political Friendship

亚里士多德将个人伦理领域中的友爱关系划分为三种:美善的友爱、快乐的友爱和有用的友爱。亚里士多德的政治友爱存在于公共政治领域之中,它并不归属于三种友爱中的任何一种。政治友爱是一种公民团结,是公民们出于对城邦共同利益的认识和追求而产生的。在政治共同体中,既然存在政治友爱,则必然存在政治正义。两者之间的关系表现为:政治友爱蕴含着政治正义,但相较于政治正义而言,政治友爱是一种更高的社会目标。政治友爱构成了城邦繁荣与稳定的基础,而一个有着良好政体的城邦国家则有利于政治友爱的生长。

Aristotle classified friendship in the personal ethic field into three types: friendship for goodness,happiness,or usefulness.Political friendship belongs to the public field of politics and falls into none of the three types of friendship.Political friendship is civil solidarity produced out of recognition and pursuit of common interest among citizens of a city-state.When political friendship evolves in a political community,it is to be followed by political justice.Political friendship implies political justice and is the higher social end.Political friendship is the foundation of prosperity and stability of a city-state,whose good system of government is conducive to the growth of political friendship.
