公安院校大学生英语阅读现状分析和培养策略研究

A Study on the Current Situation and Cultivation Methods of Independent English Reading in Police Colleges

当前公安院校英语阅读教学中,存在着教学目标为考试服务、教学模式过于传统、英语读写教材缺乏针对性和趣味性等弊病,学生缺乏自主阅读意识,公安院校英语阅读教学亟待改革。英语阅读教学改革中,应以情感过滤假说为指导,从学生的信心和兴趣出发,降低其阅读焦虑感,选择合适的阅读材料,在教师的合理引导下,培养其自主阅读习惯,提高其英语阅读能力。

The current English reading teaching in Police colleges are weighted down with problems such as examination-oriented teaching objectives,stereotyped teaching modes,and untargeted and uninteresting English reading textbooks,etc.Meanwhile,independent reading consciousness is very low among students.There is an urgent need to reform English reading teaching in police colleges.In this reform,English teachers should seek guidance from the Affective Filter Hypothesis,start from cultivating students’ confidence and interests,and reduce their reading anxiety.To improve their own English reading ability,students should make suitable choices of reading materials such as English detective stories and form an independent reading habit under teachers’ proper guidance.
