Structural realism theory was first proposed by Kenneth Waltz in his book: Theory of the International Politics, 1979. The theory has a very strong explanatory power. This paper will focus on the theory and opinions in Waltz’s book on the structural realism theory and analyze the current situation and prospects of the changes in the contemporary international system.
