The essay attempts to demonstrate the misinterpretation out of dragon into Russian дракон through semantic analysis,literature,field survey and questionnaire.Dragon in China means luck,symbol of China while дракон means evil or monster to be slaughtered.Such a misinterpretation takes negative effect on the mutual understanding of peoples between Russia and China,which draws concern from the relevant departments of the state,which have revised it into лyн,дракон,meaning beast of root crime.
