Archive donations from universities are donated by college personnel or units; they are historical records which reflect the universities' teaching, scientific research, important events and day-to-day affairs by paper, magnetic media, CD-ROM and other media carrier. Archive donations are important to archive management in universities. This paper describes the meaning and usefulness of universities' reception and management of archive donations. It also discusses how to better catego- rize, manage and use these donations.
