Innovative Practice for Cultivating High-skilled Talents for County Economy under Double Certification and Four Open Patterns

沙洲职业工学院在政府主导下积极实施开放办学,与行业企业合作"双元"培养同时具有高级职业技能与学历"双证"的高端技能型人才,包括世界500强企业总裁在内的约80%毕业生高密度落户张家港,体现了"根植、融合、服务"张家港县域经济社会的办学特色,显著提升张家港市科技人才比例,在张家港市争当苏南现代化建设排头兵的进程中发挥了高技能人才培养、培训基地的主渠道作用。

Under the guidance of the local government, Shazhou Professional Institute of Technology runs the school openly for the society and cooperates with enterprises in cultivating high-skilled talents with diplomas and vocational certificates. 80% of the graduates, some of whom are the presidents of the world’s top 500 enterprises, work in Zhangjiagang City, which greatly shows the school’s characteristics of rooting in, integrating with and serving Zhangjiagang’s economy and also increases significantly the ratio of Zhangjiagang’s high-tech talents. Thus the Institute plays a role of main channel in cultivating high-skilled talents and training base when Zhangjiagang strives for a spearhead in the process of modernization of South Jiangsu.
