摘要
头发是身份的标记,具有丰富的文化历史内涵。非裔美国作家有描写头发的传统。文章以切斯纳特、赫斯顿、佩特里、沃克、莫里森等经典作家为个案,对20世纪初以来非裔美国小说中的头发意象进行分析认为,该意象生动地展示了不同时代非裔美国作家对本民族人民身体命运的深切思考。
Furnished with rich cultural and historical information,the hair usually marks one's identity.The 20th century Afro- American fiction has developed a tradition of portraying the hair. This essay attempted to review the hair image in the 20th century Afro- American fiction from Charles Chesnutt to Toni Morrison,demonstrating that the Black fictionists in different times have shown great concern for the bodily fate of their country people.
