时代变迁、社会变革和新疆高等教育的快速发展等因素决定了新疆高校思想政治教育工作具有举足轻重的作用。文章通过问卷、个人访谈、比较分析等方法,对社会转型期新疆少数民族在校大学生思想状况作了调查研究,较全面、系统和客观地分析了新疆高校思想政治教育工作面临的挑战,并提出了应对挑战的思路与对策:以现代文化为引领,强化感恩教育,增强少数民族大学生的社会责任感;以"学生为中心",强化少数民族大学生心理健康教育,加强爱国主义、民族团结教育;利用互联网占领网上思想政治教育工作新阵地。
