高校文化素质教育是在社会主义新时期文化体制改革的大背景中,对高等教育提出的迫切要求,是高校教育质量提升的重要指标。新时期高校文化素质教育就是要在社会主义核心价值观的引领下,通过优化设置文化素质教育课程,有效融合文化素质教育与专业教学,全面提高高校教师的文化素养,营造校园文化氛围,开展文化实践等,传承和弘扬传统文化,借鉴吸收外来文化,培养大学生的文化"三自"意识,在生活实践中感受文化魅力、提高文化创新的能力,为社会主义文化大发展大繁荣培养人才。
