19世纪上半叶,钢琴这件西洋乐器传入中国,20世纪是中国钢琴音乐创作蓬勃发展时期。20世纪中国钢琴音乐创作划分为五个阶段:萌芽期、初创期、发展期、沉默期和探索期。以民族音调为创作源泉探寻浓郁的民族音乐风格和运用现代作曲技法不断开拓新的中国音乐风格,是20世纪钢琴音乐创作的显著特点。

Piano was introduced to China in the first half of the nineteenth century.The time of the twentieth century was the era when Chinese piano music developed vividly.In the twentieth century,Chinese piano music creation could be divided into five phases,i.e.germinating period,primary creation period, developing period,silent period and exploring period.The prominent feature of the piano music creation in the twentieth century is exploiting new Chinese music style with modern melodizing technology and seeking for full-bodied ethnic music style taking ethnic tonality as the resource for creation.
