Broca was a famous French physician, neurologist and anthropologist in the nineteenth century. Based on the study of aphasic cases, he put forward a theory on the localization of linguistic function on brain, which aroused great interest in the study on the relationship between language and brain and contributed greatly to the foundation and development of neurolinguistics.
