Retrospection and Recreation ——The Historical Transformation of the Chinese Humanistic Intellectuals ' Existential State

在世纪之交的社会转型时期 ,价值理想与社会现实之间的巨大差距使中国人文知识分子遭遇了前所未有的存在危机与精神危机。自先秦以降的中国知识分子传统是造成这种现实危机的历史渊源 ;而在 2 0世纪百年历史里 ,这种危机在中国知识分子身上频频呈现、沿续至今。 90年代以来 ,为了寻找价值定位、重塑自我 ,知识分子的生存形态呈现出一种多元化的格局 。

During the social transformation at the turn of the century, the Chinese humanistic intellectuals are encountering unprecedented existential and spiritual crises due to the great discrepancies between their ideals of values and social realities. And the tradition of the Chinese intellectuals, which starts from before the Qin Danasty, is supposed to be the historical course for the emergence of these crises, which frequently live with the Chinese intellectuals during the 20th century and last up to now. Since 1990, the existential state of the intellectuals assume a variety of structures for the sake of self-recreation and of the search for values orientation. However, these diversified choices and attempts do not come to an end.
