企业倒闭与破产给社会造成的巨大资源浪费和就业压力越来越引起人们对企业可持续发展的关注，从分析企业与生物的本质区别出发，统一企业寿命周期理论学者与反对该理论学者对“企业能否持续发展”的认识，讨论企业老化的本质和死亡的原因并给出保持企业持续发展的长远战略———培育企业的核心能力，保持灵活性和可控性的平衡。

This paper discuss the different views of the approver and the disapprover of the enterprise lifecycle theory on the “can the enterprise be sustainable?” and the essence of enterprise' aging, pointing out that the enterprise can be sustainable development in essence and giving the strategy.
