摘要
Africa has lagged behind in agricultural production,and the inadequate food supply has always been a disturbing problem in the political and economic life in many African countries.With efforts for Sino African economic cooperation being intensified,there appears wide room for further strengthening their exchange and cooperation in agricultural fields,especially in the field of tapping the productive potential of Africa’s land resources.After assessing the supply and demand of food,the potential of land resources for development and the socio economic conditions in both China and Africa,it can be concluded that there exist both the necessity and possibility for the two sides to work together in developing Africa’s land resources.Strategies are proposed for China to adopt as follows:1.Make a good feasibility study on the tapping of Africa’s land resources and formulate a general development programme;2.Give full play to the comparative advantage of each side according to the principle of comparative economic interest;3.Adopt a new model of comprehensive development so as to gain the best economic results;4.Let enterprises be the main body for the cooperation;5.Care must be taken of the risk of investment,the balance of ecology and other problems.
