摘要
1997年,山东省惠民县出土一批北朝佛教石造像。造像出土于惠民镇西南4公里的沙河杨村,该村位于沙河北岸。这批佛造像是一村民在其家中施工时发现,县文物部门闻讯后立即派人前往现场勘查,清理造像共17件,原均埋于地下深约0.9米处。
In 1997 a batch of seventeen pieces of Buddhist stone carvings unearthed at Shahecunto the southwest of the Huimin Township, Huimin County. Of the survivals, three from theEastern Wei dynasty and three from the Northern Qi dynasty are dated. The last coupleof decades see, in Qingzhou area including Boxing Wudi.Zhucheng Linju and so on in,Shandong, the discovery of the Eastern Wei and Northern Qi Buddhist carvings, which areremarkable for their large quantity and excellent workmanship. This find bears a greatsimilarity to the previous ones in chronological, thematic and stylistic terms. The datedcarvings provide important clues for the periodization of the same carvings in the area.
