Abstract Tourism industry in Macao has become No.1 industry in the four pillar industries.It is the main source of financial income of Macao government.The article,based on the analysis of the reason and feature of the development of Macao's tourism industry,offers some constructive suggestions on the future development of its tourism industry:1.Strengthening th cooperation of “both sides along Taiwan Straits and three places”;jointly building the pattern of “the triangular tourism area of Guangdong,Hongkong and Macao”.2.Continuing to make gambling and lottery trade play a vanguard role;bettering gambling and lottery trade and forming a pluralistic tourism system.3.Giving prominence to cultural features;developing Macao's cultural tourism and increasing the cultural content in Macao's tourism.4.Improving tourism environment.5.Cultivating and recommending high level tourism professionals and raising the managerial and service level.
