摘要
本文以平行比较的方法, 对《第二十二条军规》和《四世同堂》的异同作了多方位分析和探讨。文章指出两部小说的共同特色主要体现在别具匠心的人像展览结构、鞭辟入里的社会文化批判和灵活多样的艺术手法等方面。两部小说的相异不仅基于截然不同的东西方文化背景,而且由于一个极其有趣的同源异种现象, 即二者均以《战争与和平》为出发点, 从不同视角对其内容作了横向扩展,
Through parallel comparison,this article analyses and discusses the similarities and disparities between \$The Four Generations under One Roof (The Yellow Storm)\$ by Lao She and \$Catch 22\$ by Joseph Heller.It points out that the common features of the two novels mainly lie in the distinctive structure similar to a display of human statues,in the social and cultural criticism and in the diversified techniques of arts.The disparities of the two novels not only stem from the sharp differences of the two cultures,but also result in the fact that they are different horizontal extensions of the well\|known Russian novel \$The War and Peace\$ though they both are in some way illuminated by it.More aspects of human wars other than those shown in \$The War and Peace\$ are vividly and profoundly revealed in the two novels,each with its own ingenious artistic conception.
