从１９９６年奥运会开始，中国女篮在三次世界大赛中相继失利，其原因是多方面的。以观测统计及比较法，仅对中国女篮队员的个人防守能力进行探讨，旨在为中国女篮提高个人防守能力提供参考。结果表明：中国女篮攻击性防守能力差；防守技术运用的准确性差；防守应变能力及针对性差；

Form 1996 Olympic Games on, China female basketball team lost three international matches, the reasons losing matches connected with many aspects. Only the personal defensive ability o f China female basketball players was discussed with statistics and comparison approaches. Results come to that the offensive defense ability of China female players was lower, Their defense couldn' t offset to their characteristics and lacked of the aiming at the opponent's weakness, Their psychological state wasn' t steady.
